Role Overview:
As the Procurement Lead, you will be the go-to expert for all aspects of procured items, playing a key role in the development and expansion of business opportunities. You will lead procurement efforts across multiple projects, ensuring that high standards, processes, and controls are maintained throughout all phases of the procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with suitable standards, processes, and controls across all procurement phases.
- Manage procurement activities across multiple projects for various customers.
- Assist in preparing proposals, work statements, specifications, and operating budgets.
- Influence and execute PO negotiations and modifications effectively.
- Lead procurement and delivery efforts for both mechanical and electronic components/assemblies.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (BSc) or equivalent in Engineering or a related field.
- Commercial experience in procurement/buying, preferably within the satellite and defense industries.
- Proven ability to manage the procurement process from RFI through to component delivery.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Experience working across multiple projects and technology bases with global suppliers.
- Familiarity with ESA/ECSS, NASA, and MIL-STD processes and projects is beneficial.
- Understanding of export and shipping regulations.
- Awareness of quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.
