Overview:
Join a global space company at the cutting edge of technology as a Product Assurance Engineer. In this critical role, you will manage product and quality assurance tasks throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring the highest standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project-specific Product Assurance Plans, ensuring compliance across the entire supply chain.
- Support quality assurance activities for parts, materials, and processes.
- Participate in design reviews, as well as customer and supplier reviews.
- Manage non-conformance, critical item, and change control processes.
- Review processes, drawings, procedures, test data, and inspection records to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Perform quality assurance tasks during Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Test (MAIT) activities both in-house and at vendor facilities.
- Support in-house Quality Management System activities, including internal audits, lessons learned, continuous improvement, and analysis of process and quality metrics.
- Serve as the key point of contact for all quality-related activities with customers and suppliers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Strong commercial experience in Product or Quality Assurance within a regulated spaceflight manufacturing environment.
- Experience with the design, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and delivery of spaceflight hardware to meet contractual requirements.
- Proficient in writing technical documents.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) in an industrial setting.
- Skilled in using quality tools, methods, and procedures.
- Knowledge and/or experience with RAMS, Radiation, EEE Parts, Materials, and Processes.
- Desirable knowledge of:
- Satellite/subsystem Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT).
- Ground support equipment.
- Electronic units (digital communications hardware, PCB, integrated circuits, etc.).
- Manufacturing processes (soldering, coatings, bonding, etc.).
- Satellite payloads.
