Job Description

Overview:

Join a global space company at the cutting edge of technology as a Product Assurance Engineer. In this critical role, you will manage product and quality assurance tasks throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring the highest standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project-specific Product Assurance Plans, ensuring compliance across the entire supply chain.
  • Support quality assurance activities for parts, materials, and processes.
  • Participate in design reviews, as well as customer and supplier reviews.
  • Manage non-conformance, critical item, and change control processes.
  • Review processes, drawings, procedures, test data, and inspection records to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Perform quality assurance tasks during Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Test (MAIT) activities both in-house and at vendor facilities.
  • Support in-house Quality Management System activities, including internal audits, lessons learned, continuous improvement, and analysis of process and quality metrics.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for all quality-related activities with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong commercial experience in Product or Quality Assurance within a regulated spaceflight manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with the design, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and delivery of spaceflight hardware to meet contractual requirements.
  • Proficient in writing technical documents.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) in an industrial setting.
  • Skilled in using quality tools, methods, and procedures.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with RAMS, Radiation, EEE Parts, Materials, and Processes.
  • Desirable knowledge of:
    • Satellite/subsystem Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT).
    • Ground support equipment.
    • Electronic units (digital communications hardware, PCB, integrated circuits, etc.).
    • Manufacturing processes (soldering, coatings, bonding, etc.).
    • Satellite payloads.
